It is an immense threat to the independence of <st1:country-region w:st=3D"on">Britain</st1:country-re= gion> in determining its own foreign policy, since this Treaty essentially create= s a European Foreign Minister, claiming to work on <st1:country-region w:st=3D"= on"><st1:place w:st=3D"on">Britain</st1:place></st1:country-region>’s behalf throug= h the European Union. <o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> They will have a right of initiative in foreign a= nd security policy matters since the will share with e= ach <st1:place w:st=3D"on"><st1:PlaceName w:st=3D"on">Member</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceTyp= e w:st=3D"on">State</st1:PlaceType></st1:place> the power to submit proposals regarding the common foreign and security pol= icy (CFSP).
